Does dishwasher really make sense of Indian kitchen

If the IFB is made in Turkey then where are the Bosch dishwashers people have here made.

Anyone know?

This is where LG missed out. In the dishwasher space. I’ve seen complaints that there was no proper auto resume in their models in the event of a power cut. Something you could take for granted with their washing machines a decade earlier.

this is what I am trying to convince my mom too but she just doesnt want to

kitna bhi boldu

she says electricity bahut khayega

Yeah, they all say that. You have to force it onto them.

Please do share your Dishwasher model details.

We are a total of 5 people, veg only, rice and dal are made 2-3 times a week for lunch, mostly it’s roti and typical vegetables and dal, poha, kheer, etc

Utensils used for tea preparation and milk boiling needs 5-10 secods of scrubbing sometimes

Aluminum utensils also get washed properly but discolouration could be an issue for some

On most days, a single run (eco+vario eco+extra dry, after dinner ) is enough for entire day’s dishes and utensils

If there is no space constraint then door can be kept open at food timings, hardly takes a person to keep their dishes in the machine instead of placing them in sink first and then transferring them at once

Cleaning performance is top notch, there was a grater that went from a lot of residual food marks to being brand new - (some existing scratches)

Don’t keep cast iron

Model - SMS66GW01I, costed ~35 in recent bbd sale from amazon, i didn’t even know that midea dishwasher of similar size is available for 1/3rd of the cost, even if i had known about it, i still would have gone with bosch as i had this horrific experience with my current lg front load machine, lg is a no go since then for appliances, I’ll probably write about it here soon

Try explaining her with washing machine example

Our electricity consumption has mostly been the same since it was installed

If i had a choice of choosing one from dishwasher and washing machine, I’ll always get a dishwasher first, entire week’s clothing can be washed on a weekend but you can’t do that for dishes, i wouldn’t be eating the leftover soap from clothes but the same is very much possible for dishes

Eh? Your profile doesn’t allow see your earlier posts and I don’t remember you posting about said front loader

If you want to do so go ahead in this thread

As mentioned in the above post, i have not yet written about it, will do it soon

The “hide public profile” was probably imported from old xenforo settings in recent days, i don’t remember enabling it here

Have turned it off now

I got an LG dishwasher. Mom was sceptical of the need for it, but after just a few days of using it she has completely changed her mind. Dishwasher is completely different level of cleanliness compared to handwashing. It is absolutely spotless, without any soap marks and is free of bacteria and such due to high temperature and steam (not all have this) function.

It uses less water too! Sounds counter intuitive but people forget how much water we use while cleaning in the sink and how little these dishwasher’s actually use.
