English TV series discussion (Part 1)

I agree, the vibe is really trippy and addictive in a sense

Indeed. Bloody glamorous.

Watching Netflix Daredevil before watching Daredevil Born Again. So far on S1, E3 and it’s been really good and more grounded. Any other suggestions similar to the show? (I have Boys and Invincible on my list but anything else?)

Agent Carter, Jessica Jones, SAS Rogue Heroes, See, Sneaky Pete, The Umbrella Academy these are few good ones you might like. Check there IMDB page for description

**MobLand S01-Episode 5 **- That scene between Harry and Eddie Harrigan at Richie’s… the tension between them was superb! One can just feel Harry is like the “calm” before the storm! Once he reaches his threshold, that’s when it’ll be really fun to see him go bananas!

And Maeve… that evil woman is enough to start the biggest of fires!

Totally underrated show, love every character. However writing could be improved like Conrad and Pam story is not very aligned as per the character arc and many times goes out of the way (lost the exact word).

Going off on a tangent?

Had a chance to catch up on some tv shows while traveling..
Okayish season, not as good as initial seasons.
Eulogy was quite a surprise emotionally instead of emphasis on tech based stuff.. Best one of the season.

Andor : Season 2
What Tony Gilroy has pulled off is nothing sort of monumental. A prequel of a prequel which cannot get better than this. That ending was something. I will not be able to rest until I finish re-watching Rogue One.
PS : I just wish Andor never ended.

On Call (2025): 5/10
Got interested after watching the trailer. But it’s actually boring and regular police stuff, where every episode goes like case by case.
Didn’t feel interesting overall.
The lead actress was great, her looks and acting were so believable. Lead actor is meh.

Murderbot is another great SciFi show AppleTV has put out. Fantastic start. It’s about a rogue robot who likes to watch TV and make snide comments about human stupidity. Too relatable. My only complaint is the episodes are too short.

Love Death & Robots season 4
What can I say except that I’m disappointed. There are a few good episodes that I enjoyed thoroughly like Ep.3 Spider rose and Ep.5 The other large thing but other than that it doesn’t got much going. Half the episodes feel like filler or unfinished and the other half are just “okay” with some humour here and there. Lets forget episode 1 even existed, no offense to the band (I like them).

wow I didn’t know it was even releasing… how are the animations itself separate from the plot?

Like in general for the whole season 4 or episode wise? I’m not that good at noticing animation flaws/jitteriness but some episodes do stand out like I do know for the fact that Ep.8 has weak animations, like 5 frames per second weak. Ep.9 is the also same but it at least suits it. For others it’s fine.

You’ve read my mind. It used to be an awesome series, I still remembered and hunted, loved by “jibaro” episode.

Jibaro is peak motion media. We should sent that to aliens to let them know about us alongside full metal jacket and cowboy bebop haha.

My favorite episodes are beyond the aquila rift, jibaro, the swarm, the very pulse of the machine, zima blue, bad travelling, the secret war, sonnie’s edge, the dump, ice, the witness and three robots. Not sure where my favorite episode of this season stands but somewhere in between I guess.

PolerFace - Two episodes down, It’s still good but feels like a notch down from S1.

Many a times Makers just don’t understand what worked with their series/movie. What worked for the audience and what they think worked are often two different things.

There isn’t often a single aspect regarding what made a movie/series succeed. It’s a more of a symphony of different elements. But, When they go with P2/S2, they go allout with what they think that worked and leave the rest. And thta’s where things often go wrong.
