Fable has 1,000 ‘handcrafted’ NPCs, and you can apparently marry every single one of them

Polygamy achievement unlocked?

Fable developer Playground Games seems to have its priorities in order: its reimagining of fantasy world Albion is full of beautiful scenery, the tone remains goofy, and there are choices to make that leave an impact on the people around you. More important than all that, though, is that Albion’s citizens are each unique, and you can woo every single one of them.

The one thing we did not get in today’s showcase, unfortunately, is a release date, but the 2026 target is still on—Fable is set to arrive this fall, and will be available for PC on Steam and the Microsoft Store.

What’s with female protagonists everywhere in all upcoming games?
I hate playing as gals while I am a man.

1,000 handcrafted NPCs give me the vibes of Starfield having 1,000 planets. Sure, you can marry them, but are they fun enough to want to?

I never finished the story for the original Fable game, but IIRC don’t you just have townspeople with hearts over their heads once you get popular and you can give them gifts to woo and marry them? I think I married a character but I don’t remember if they even had a name  .

Leaving aside virtual harems, the graphics in the screenshots on the steam page look fantastic.

Xbox Game Studios, past the Xbox 360 generation, have created extremely shallow games that devoid of any soul.

I won’t be surprised if this has Microslop’s AI slop scattered all over it.

They’re keeping the legacy of Peter Molyneux alive with more of his typical exaggerated bs.
