According to a review posted by REDSD on a Dutch site Tweakers.net, there is absolutely no noticeable ghosting on the 2209WA in games. The author tested it with COD4 on WinXP and was pleased to see no ghosting/blurring and the awesome contrast and colors.

Here are the pics he has posted comparing it with a Dell 1908FP (TN)

Thank you for the headsup REDSD

I am getting a qoute of 16.5k on the Dell 2409 model. Is it worth it?

oO. Nice quote. With or without taxes and shipping?

All inclusive.

so the 2209WA is going to affect prices of TN panels

btw, 16.5k all inclusive is an excellent quote for the 2409W. Its best you decide for yourself if it will suit your needs.

16.5 is for 3 years or 5 year ?

^ probably for 3 years. But even then, considering I paid 18.5K for the S2409W, and the best deal on TE so far is 17.9K, I think 16.5K is a damn nice deal. Go for it if it suits your needs. (btw I have a review for it in the review section).

(Edit: I meant 17.9K not 17.5K.)

He’s a Dell employee :face_with_tongue:

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get such an excellent quote?

^^ What Free radical said.

Yeah and they are selling it for 25k in Europe. Ask Dell

So it can be concluded that the eIPS panel is based on the 8-bit IPS and not a 6-bit TN.

The panel has been confirmed to be an LG.Display e-IPS panel called LM220WE4.

Here are some quick captures of my monitor.

All the noise and saturation issues are due to my crappy 6233 phone camera, though the monitor looks excellent at even extreme viewing angles. There is no color shift or gradient banding, though in my case the backlight bleed is more in the left corners. The images are straight from the phone and have not been optimized in any way.
