If you had checked the video you’d know he shows and explains the exact same micron specs you’re referring to and he’s not wrong because with my 3070ti it throttles when mem temps reach 96c. While it’s on the extreme case i.e with furmark and gaming pushes only till 90c max but in summers if does get to 96c then there’ll be throttling.
Try mining on it when you’re not gaming. Temps will hit 110 and thermal throttle near instantly even with an undervolt and maxed out fans. Nvidia uses terrible thermal pads on the fe cards
That’s bad I hope it’s not the case with 3070ti too, I think they improved a little with the ti series. I’ve mailed them, let’s see.
Tough luck. They still use the same 1.5w/mk pads

Where did you find that info? Can you link me to the source? As per my information Nvidia did not release any specifications of the stock white putty based thermal pads being used in their FE cards.

does this work with cpu as well ?
No, it’s not for direct heat dissipation from actively cooled components like CPU/GPU die.
It’s for things like VRM, Memory chips on GPU, chipsets on motherboard which don’t require active cooling.
