Got Fake Airpods pro from Amazon

now i really envy you… I got fooled for fake … I’m really getting angry on myself

I feel you, it’s a terrible situation. Unfortunately, only the seller can take it back. You’ll need to reach out to them somehow. Also see if you can raise a dispute with your card/bank, if you did use one at all.

Yours looks much more fake than mine, so it’s easier to prove it is one.

What does this mean? you talk to amazon on the phone. There is no email involved unless you’re referring to twitter.

Once they raise a case via social media, it gets handled by a different team and this team is reachable only via emails. From that point onwards, calls/tweets did no help whatsoever. They all pointed me to the social media team.

Sm team was insanely unresponsive. So I ended up cc’ing a bunch of escalation email ids yesterday and ended up getting a call this morning.

I’m glad it worked for me but I still find it funny

Marking mail to CXO, good to know this trick still works. First time I tried that with Vodafone in 2008 :tearsofjoy:

It does match… Am I missing something here?

No, I too pointed it out. Turns out he posted the wrong image. He posted the correct image here.

When a vlogger introduces a shop that people barely know, it is paid promotion. Look for that on social media sites like Reddit. If not, drop a post in few subreddits (one for city, one for india tech subreddit etc) and see if anyone had good/bad experiences.

If I have to buy electronics offline, I would rather go to Croma or similar reputed chain. Some of these stores insist on opening the box and verifying the product (if it is not coming from warehouse, like a fridge or TV) in front of you.

Also, we have to make a habit of unboxing and checking everything in front of them, including warranty status.

I agree that we need to unbox the product in front of store manager

I repent my decision to buy this and ended up with first copy. I will give this to my kids for personal use.

At the very least open a complaint on a consumer forum. I dunno how it’s going to work against a small offline shop but let’s see.

When I was buying phones earlier. The deal was open the box let me see the screen and if it is ok I will buy it.

Smaller shops would agree to it. Brand shops like Samsung refused and insisted I go with the service centre after which I told them was unacceptable.

I’ve since bought phones on amazon and the last three were fine.
