Was looking for Camphor as a possibility to repel mosquitoes, found it’s already available:

Don’t know whether it contains other chemicals, also unsure how effective the product is.

Camphor is apparently a natural mosquito repellents, so can use it to drive mosquitoes out.
Put one camphor tablet in a small bowl of water and place it in the room.
Mosquitoes leave the room because of the odor. Replace the camphor every 2 to 3 days to keep repelling mosquitoes. Use camphor wherever mosquitoes are a problem.

You say mosquitoes leave the room but that means I need to keep room open until the time we go to sleep right?

For last 2 days, I am making sure the bedroom Window is closed by 5 pm and room closed too.

Question is what does this camphor smell like? Pure will be pleasant otherwise not so much.

Camphor is karpoor aka कपूर, routinely used during pooja, hawan, etc. smells pleasant that way.

Yes, the camphor is pure one.
BhimSeni brand is most popular one. In TN, version is PachaiKarpooram.

Smell is mild one for a room. I have seen this one in an office small tight space, but I don’t think it was that effective in big spaces. This is not based on regular big sized camphor that is used in Pujas/Temples. it leaves no residue.

So here I am after buying the all out all night spray which is ridiculously expensive for what you get. 30ml in a oversized spray bottle costs ₹215. The bottle feels like there is absolutely nothing in it.

We have been using it for past 1 week. Along with spray, we have also started making sure that the bedroom windows are completely closed by 5 pm and also door remains closed and only opened for coming out or going inside bedroom.

I have to say, the spray does work. I spray 4 short bursts at 4 corners and we have not experienced any mosquito bites in bedroom and not even those zzzz zzzz near us.

First day, I had noticed 2 mosquitoes on floor about 30 min after spraying and those mosquitoes looked like they were in trance on floor, sort of gliding away but still alive. We even noticed one cockroach dead on 2nd day and one moth too.

Mosquitoes get into houses much earlier, for eg., by 4pm depending on region you are in.

I’ll be reconsidering usage of such sprays if there are children in the room.

So the 2 changes we are doing now are, first to make sure the window in bedroom is closed by 5-6 pm daily. Even door is closed.
And also using the all out spray. The spray definitely seems to help and we get no mosquitoes entire night.
Yes, I understand that the room closing in evening may also be attributed to the less / no mosquitoes but 2 days back I forgot to spray and even after closing the doors and windows, at 9 PM, there were lot of mosquitoes and I had to play badminton killing them in each corner and behind hung clothes and curtains etc.

After 4 PM mosquito etc. start rushing from out side to inside.
Use Net Window, so fresh air can circulate all day, even when all windows are closed.

Did you try the incense stick?

Cannot as my younger one has allergies due to all this and hence even when I do this spray, I tell him to stay outside bedroom for 20 min.
