Home Inverter Sounds beep even when disconnected

Strange problem with Home Inverter so need some inputs.

The usual setup when inverter is connected to the mains for charging as well as backup:

  1. The 3-wire plug is connected to the mains.

  2. The single-wire plug is connected to the inverter output supply at the back

  3. The battery terminals are connected to the inverter through red & black wires.

  4. The inverter push button remains ON

Now, when I have to disconnect the inverter, I simply disconnect the 3-wire plug from the mains, and connect the single-wire plug to the mains supply. The inverter push button remains OFF. This way the supply is directly from the mains, instead of via the inverter. The battery terminals anyways remain connected to the inverter through red & black wires.

The Problem:

With the inverter remaining disconnected as above for around a month, all of a sudden it started giving beep sounds. I am clueless what is the reason/source of this beeps coming from inverter, as it is NOT connected to the mains supply. The switch of inverter has been OFF.

Any inputs what could be the reason, and what needs to be done to fix?

Battery low?

Overheating, bad battery terminal connections, low inverter battery or a firmware issue.

It’d probably be helpful to know what brand/model inverter you have.

But yes, beeps mean low battery. You need to charge the batteries at least once a month otherwise they’ll end up as junk.

it mean different for different product. It may mean over heating or low battery
