What do you need help with exactly? How big is your house? Can you crimp lan cable? (its easy) 500 worth equipment and cable needed.
Get a mesh system and hardwire it with lan. Its 1 Sundays (2-4hrs) worth of work for even newbies.
already have a mesh bro - deco m5 ( 3 nodes) but i have two flats joined as one so they don’t reach the extreme ends of both the right and left side of my home. my house has alot of thick brick walls and is around 2700-3000sq ft .. i need something more powerful that hopefully covers the whole home.
i am confused right now
-
get like 5-6 nodes and put one in each room and two in the hall (hall ones can be hard wired running cables through my balcony that connects both the right and left side)
-
get proper omada type access points 2 1 for each side hardwire them and hopefully they are powerfull enough to cover the house. .. there are alot of beams and walls (building is slightly older so doesnt have proper internal access in all rooms) cant break walls for wires thats why mesh was my only option. but if there is something slightly powerful can put on each sides of the two flats and hopefully it works lol
Have you checked my sale thread. This is probably what your need. Make one of these the main deco, add the m5 too. You’re done.
You put these in middle as these have more 5ghz bands. 4x4. And M5 in the outer rings. So even if it’s on WiFi backbone mesh it’ll not slow it down much.
But if you can hardwire then you’re good for 5-10yrs. Put the x60 where you spend most of the time.
Btw i run deco m5 too in AP mode. Such good devices. Shifted to unifi now, will shift fully after i get 2 pending unifi APs.
