Horrifying experience with Fevikwik

My fingers get stuck all the time while using feviqwik and I forcefully unstick them, sometimes skin comes off but that’s it. Dunno maybe maybe I have a very thick skin

u can put some cold ice on fewick after sometime it peels

Which variant of Fevikwik are we even talking about here? Recently I have been using the Precision one for 3D prints and it seems so weak that I stopped using gloves with it for proper application and still it comes off the skin after a couple of hot water washes.

I have always spilt feviquick on my fingers every single time i have ever worked with it. As an adult i have tried my best to work very very carefully with it but it just magically spills on my fingers. I don’t know how this even happens at this point. There have been times when I felt it just magically appeared on my hand because i felt it was physically impossible for it to spill this time. But coming to your point, never got my fingers stuck together. I have always managed to just unstick them immediately. Just the residue is very annoying for a day. This story sounds like he might have used something even stronger and faster acting glue.

Acetone and even IPA does the the trick.

But seriously, we should definitely make it a habit to wear nitrile gloves if you’re handling super glue too often.

Surface tension, it’s lower for super glue.

Viscosity is slightly more than water.

End effect is that your fingers literally suction it up into the grooves of your fingerprints through capillary action.
