No they don’t fall off. I never had a single event of even the basic Airpods fall off during exercise, running or other forms of physical activity.
You pick up the call on the EarPods itself. I use the Airpods at home and the Pro outdoors, commute, gym etc. It has a long press to change from noise cancellation to transparency so its just easy to go from complete isolation to engaging in conversation without having to take it out and putting it in the case.
Airpods pro. How good are they ? indoors. Pretty good. So good you can do an entire review using just them. Indoors that is.
Outdoors is a different story because Apple has not devoted much effort in this area. compared to others.
He says he got them to make calls since they were top of the line but discovered the phone is doing better noise cancellation and modulates his voice less.
The sound processing won’t have to work as hard now, isn’t it
In a pinch you could just use your hands to cup your ears but that’s breaking the rules for hands free.
I think there might be an easy fix for wind noise cancellation with neck bands that don’t have adequate noise cancelling.
Tell them to tuck the neckband under their shirt and see if that makes a difference. Most would wear it ON the shirt. This will only work if the mic is on the tip of the band. If its dangling above then it won’t work. Am starting to now recognise the drawback of a dangling mic which my set has.
I’m watching him test a neckband that retails around Rs.1k . yeah that cheap !!! and it seems to be doing quite well in noisy enivronments. It came out couple years back so might not be available these days.
The trick is the neck band is short enough to tuck in under a shirt. I don’t understand how that would be enough or whether this itfit has something extra but the results are extraordinary for such a cheap neck band !!
That quoted double digit “numeric dollar value” was from an analyst working at a very reputable firm handling assets in billions of dollars. So, yeah, I’d trust his word any day.
And if you’ve been in the tech industry for last ten years at least, you’d know that the concept that “Apple has the highest margins” is pretty much a myth these days. With the chip shortage & retail inflation, they’ve kept their product prices consistent while others are constantly increasing.
Some of the comments saved me from spending too much on this.
I don’t know if I need one really I just need them for workout and travelling to avoid wires .
Otherwise I like to use speakers mostly .
Btw Just to add a something to it …
Not a good idea to have these things right close to your ears for a long time. No matter how good and comfortable they are.
This is coming from someone who had started having hearing issues very young in my life after those call centre / tech support job and ofcourse loud music and at one time it got so serious that doctors adviced me surgery or I will loose my hearing.
But thankfully medication worked .
by god’s grace came out of it and much better now.
Trust me guys It can be one of the Worst feeling to see your hearing going and not being able to do anything.
just sharing in hope that some of you can still draw a line with these headphones/buds usage while you can and start taking care of your ears if ignoring till now.
too much of anything and all that. Just have to hope people have the sense to use things in moderation. I usually used my galaxy buds pro while commuting to work by train. An hour on either side at most.
Galaxy. I keep forgetting the usb c - 3.5mm convertor so got this. Could’ve bought a type c wired but I wanted to see what the novelty about earbuds was
If its just listening to music I can wear it for few hours. If its for calls, short calls is fine, felt some discomfort during long calls. I haven’t tried the different tips yet. The ANC is great. It blocked the noise during train travel and blocked out engine noise in flight. I’m very happy with it.
Galaxy has Buds Live and Buds Pro. No Pro+ AFAIK. I use the Galaxy buds pro
Forgot to mention that I was able to demo the Live and Pro, offline, prior to purchase, then decided based on the fit and got the Pro when it was on sale.
I wonder why its a problem for calls and not music ? Not a sizing problem in your case.
The way galaxy buds pro are designed depends on the shape of your ear to keep them in place rather than in ear tried and tested familiar designs of Airpods pro or Oneplus buds Pro.
Don’t want to knock Sammy for trying different ideas but whether these designs work is up for debate.
