Anyway, obsidian is not open source. Can’t self host and access on web directly too. You can use something like fossil to version control and sync your notes between devices.

Anyone using Personal Knowledge Management (PKM) self-hosted or any tool?

I recommend watching a YouTube video on Obsidian. Syncing can be taken care of in 2 ways Host your data folder on a drive (proton drive or Google drive) Use syncthing UI is great once you start customising with css. Try and see for a week. If you still didn’t like, then use something else.

Obsidian became more like Notion, Notion became more like Obsidian with their latest updates

Tried both Notion and Obsidian in past, but where too complex for me and my requirements. (all alone) After O’365 family subscription, shifted to OneNote for note taking.. Found TickTick for time/tasks tracking, quite easy comparatively and been few years with both.
