How good is elementary OS ?

I have heard it is light and is based on Ubuntu. Does software work on Ubuntu work with Elementary OS ?

Yep, heard of Lubuntu, but I think Windows XP is the best choice for low end machines.

U can try Lubuntu, I have a 2007 made compaq laptop which is Pentium D running smooth :slight_smile: :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
