What we need is samples of a specified number of chapaties which are said to be decent. Then we can arrive at the result in one of the following faishion-

**Straight and simple: **Calculate the AVG. But hey one would say how come a chappati have 13.33333 dots to be decent, if we get such an avg as a result.

Little better: take the root square mean. Many people say RMS is better so do it. But still the decimal problem not solved.

Take the median: No way. Ofcourse it is one of measure of central tendecy but not worthy enugh.

Take the mode: A good contender in this case, as we wont have any decimal figures and the result reflects the number of dots on most number of chapaties.

Finally an engineer or probably a statistician will arrive on something like taking all the data, then drawing a sample distribution curve, then finding the **skewness **and kurtosis. On the basis of the analysis finally deciding wich measure of central tendency will reflect the best possible answer. May be he can even write a thesis paper on it to do his PHD.
So what are you waiting for go get the PHD..
