if it weren’t for the fans, my 970 would still be serving
I have had 2 cards die, neither of them was due to usage. Both died due to issues with SMPS or motherboard. Invest in motherboard with good VRM and good quality SMPS!
You didn’t use 90mm case fans with zip ties to secure them method?
of course not
It can result in vibrations and noise and the vibrations can sometimes affect the pciex bus connection.
In well-ventilated cabinets, your cards can last much longer. Even the low-end GPUs of old were built to last. My ancient 8400GS GPU and my GT710, both still passive, outlasted the Fans on my GT 420 and Radeon RX 430.
out of context but 16g 9060xt at 38k sounds like such a good deal…..
i am pretty sure rn the same gpu costs atleast 45k.
I almost bought an used 6 months old Asrock Legend 3 fan 9060XT 16GB for 33k but due to courier not working properly I had to buy new Sapphire Pulse 2 fan 9060XT 16GB one for 38k in July, 2025.
My current zotac 3070 ti which i bought as used is working fine. It is been around 4 years I think. My first MSI one lasted 5 years.
I had a 1070 that lasted nearly 6 years and was still working fine when i sold it.
