Yup, a friend or a shop is your best bet.

Happened a lot of times when a delivery guy calls and nobody is home, so I just ask him to give it to the nearest kirana shop, one time I asked the delivery guy to drop the package to the eyewear shop from where I get my glasses.

Shopkeeper will never ask what was in the package.

Is there a risk of someone else opening the package at home? If not, can’t you just lock the doors for 5 minutes, gift wrap it, and be over with it? The packaging itself should be of FK/Meesho, so that shouldn’t be a problem. Although this is tricky (almost impossible, rather) if the box is very large or human-sized lol.

If you don’t want any risk, do you know a friend who wouldn’t experience this issue, as they might live alone, with friends, or even a chill family? That seems like a safe alternative as well.
