How to transfer Onedrive files to Google Drive? Cloud to Cloud?

Hi All,

Need to transfer huge folders from One drive to Google Drive storage.

I dont want to first download on my pc and then upload again.
I also check some third party apps are paid ones that allows cloud to cloud transfer.

Is there free one that can help direct transfer? or any method you guys can suggest.

Thanks.

MultCloud has free 5GB, if more then you may need to pay, you can check their plans here

I second this. There used to be 30gb of free transfer bandwidth.

I have to transfer 800 gb ..
Multicloud is asking for $189 lifetime or $99 for yearly

I think it is 1/6 of the cost to just renew my onedrive account.

To do something like this, the data will have to be decrypted at either end and will be encrypted only during transit. Not sure why you would trust a third party with your decrypted content.

Best to do it manually, even if it takes time.

Get a vps on hetzner and use rclone to do the transfer.

You can also choose to encrypt it while uploading if you wish to.
Just a warning, Google has a 750gb/ day upload limit.

Hetzner Vps would be 1-2 Euros for a couple of days.

Probably a better option if the VPS offers enough speed and bandwidth.

Any specific reason for Cloud to Cloud? I recently downloaded 1TB data directly into nvme and then shifted to mac.

Hetzner has a 20 TB per month bandwidth and a 10 gig network even on their cheapest 4 Euro/ month Vps

i dont want to sound rude, but 800gb is not a lot, at most 1 day to download all with decent internet, and 1 day to upload all back.

Its like 9 hours for a 200mbps plan to download …

arey bhai …sirf woh baat nahi hai…800gb storage kaha se laye.
All HDD, SSD, Laptop internal SSD… no storage in them… only 400mb, 2 gb and all left .

I am still trying to do something like that…uploading my old files and will download these files.
I am afraid to upload my movie collection files on google drive as I could get in trouble those downloaded movies are not allowed to store, right?
Have even kept renewing as an option too.

You can store them in google drive, only making it available publically will get your account in trouble.

I had a similar requirement few weeks back.. but was onedrive to onedrive. (Search for my topic)
I was able to share folder from Account A to Account B and then move files in Account B to appropriate locations did the job..

From/To Google cloud to any other cloud, just came across paid tools (better try a free version of there first to confirm)
Some users suggested command line tool, which i was not comfortable with.. check my topic if you can find a solution there.

Rclone… !!

So you can store pirated movies?

I read Google ,Apple ,Microsoft can go through your stored files and send legal notice to you. If found such pirated files or adult files.

Was that just a fake news?

I have no intention to make them public . Just some collection of movies .

I have seen users posting there onedrive content (in form of photos/text) on Microsoft forums many times while they face issues with onedrive or related services.

As far as I can say, unless it’s Microsoft stuff, they won’t care.

And yes, don’t make it public..

Google cloud flag such instances if file is unencrypted. I got notice and eBook has been blocked (not deleted).

Was it blocked due to sharing, or is it simply inaccessible?

A few years ago, I tried uploading my videos (movies, etc.) to a private YouTube account. I started with around 50 GB of content, accessible only to me, and it worked fine for about a week. Then I added another 200 GB while uploads were still in progress, in .mp4 and .mkv formats. Google detected this and restricted further uploads.

Later, I found a workaround—changing the video length 15 to 20 minutes (shorter or longer than the original) and tweaking file names/titles but that was too much work and gave up.

The old 50 GB content is still intact.

Fake news. Storing it is not illegal. Publishing them is.
And other illegal stuffs like this.
