The PL-15 missile supplied to Pakistan was not export variant but main variant.
Double the striking distance (250km) which kind of got India by surprise.
Article indicates how India misjudged striking range of PL-15, where there is a difference between main version which is used by Pak than expected Chinese export edition. This lack of intelligence input helped Pak to ambush exploiting the loophole.
Leave alone India, major concern for other countries including USA should be how Pak defense equipment are fully and directly linked to Chinese intelligence and defense machine.
All the article is about weakness or misjudgements from Indiaâs side, just a sentence or two about Pak loses and direct Chinese link which are actually considerably massive and how quick the skirmish ended.

Pakistan is playing very well in this geopolitics game with Keeping USA close and China Closer and Turkey not too far.
India is truly alone with Russia facing tough times and other partners never been that reliable.
France is good partner though .
As for military tactics âŚlets agree that Pakistan did outdo India with this kill Chain tactics.
Able to fly with radars off but still having full eyes on Indian figter jets.
I feel they could have done lot more damage.

In any case what did you have in mind when you say âsharing informationâ? I will try to answer based on what I understood from your question. The answer is âNoâ. Media organisations do not pay anyone to get information. Reporters will usually approach their contacts for a sound byte or a quote and depending on the comfort level of the source either attribute the quote to the source or simply say âAccording to sourcesâ, or â A senior official of so-and-so ministry etc.â That is standard reporting procedure.
