For the record,I asked the mods to lock it as there were lots of OT discussions happening. I asked a question, it got answered, then I got it locked.
Anyone use Tapatalk to browse TE? The last few hours it has been spamming me with 2FA login verification codes each time I open, even though itâs been saved.
Edit: Have to say itâs annoying lol. Almost to the point of wanting to disable 2FA.
Edit 2: issue sorted
Hi,
Itâs been three days since I got a reply from one of the mods. Iâm assuming it to be a technical issue. If someone could look into it, would be highly obliged.
Hey there,
Iâve set my preferences to NOT automatically watch content, and further to NOT receive notifications to watched content. But iâm still receiving email notifications. The only emails i want are PM or other info alerts, everything except forum threads, because i have a pretty OCD way of anyway reading all concerned threads and donât like a full email inbox in the morning. Thanks !
Never mind, i think i fixed it my manually un-watching all threadsâŚ
The different options in Preferences didnât work? Seems fine for me - watching content but disabled email notif
Yup, had to do the same here as well. Was getting emails after changing preferences, but it seems the setting affects threads AFTER changing the setting. The threads that were watched (with emails notifs. enabled) stay watched until you manually disable email notifs on them individually.
Nope, as @@TheCoolerPlayer said, it probably only works for new content *after *changing the setting. Existing watched threads were still sending email alerts till i manually un-watched them.
Agreed. But to be fair, this seems like an issue with the forum software XenForo itself, and not sure if the mods can do much about it.
Any idea why âHow much can I sell this for?â thread is locked? :what?:
Just guessing. Maybe deals were happening through PMs and they wanted to stop that? Though I donât see a rule against PM deals specifically.
Perhaps resellers and newbies peddling their wares in the guise of asking for prices
So the price discovery happens in the sale threads now ? For genuine sellers, the âHow much can I sell this for?â thread was really helpful in getting a rough idea of the listing price.
yup very much. sadly this is how it goes these days, not like old times ![]()
Is it possible to all the posts in âHow much can I sell this for?â does not show the name/username of posting member and shows Anonymous?
I think that will solve deals without FS threads issue.
They can still message that anon person and deal right?
Honestly, isnât all this happening on WTB threads? Shiny new memebers offer their products there or is it upto the buyer in these cases to be careful and mods donât interfere?
I mean, bidding happens at times.
âAnonymousâ means just âAnonymousâ wrtitten in place of memberâs name and no clickable/mouseover link to see Anonymousâs profile. So, if you and I post, nobody would know who posted it. Even if someone responds in that thread that he/she wants to buy it but there will be no name/link to see who is that person.
Person writing his name/username in that post should be warned/banned,
I donât know if this is an isolated incident but I sometimes an unable to scroll down my alerts/notifications. But other areas I can scroll with no problem. Just happens with the alerts. Iâm on mobile using mobile browser.
Iâm also still unable to access these:
I mentioned this few posts back that there was no problem. A bit annoying as Iâm unable to use my Android emojis.
Why are some members unable to be sent a message or profile even viewed? Or does it happen when one is blocked? If not I really donât think that itâs a good idea to allow a member to completely lock his profile. Nothing to do with âprivacyâ issue imo. Just seems like a shady move.
