Lava Agni phone users, feedback please

Hi all Lava Agni users. Please provide feedback on your experience with Lava Agni phones and their service. I am considering buying the newly launched Lava Agni 4 as it meets all the requirements I was looking for a new phone.

Lava Agni 4 specs really look good and the reviews have been good too so far. Was just worried about performance and service as I have never read about someone sharing experience of Lava phones, so it is quite new and unknown territory for me.

I have been looking to buy a phone in the 20-25k range.

I am looking for a phone with stock Android or near stock Android. Don’t like bloatware at all. I am not a gamer or a power user. Just need a reliable and good quality phone with good specs for regular usage, which will last for 4-5 years or more.

Was considering Moto Edge 60 Fusion and had asked for advice here:

But, people have suggested there not to buy Moto phones because of bad service and I saw others too complain about their service in other threads.

Other suggestions were Nothing Phone 3a, OnePlus Nord CE 5 and Lava Agni 4.

I looked up and found that Nothing Phone don’t have service center in my city, so not considering it any more.

I was confused between Lava Agni 4 and OnePlus Nord CE 5. Both have same processor and good specs, but Lava Agni 4 seems to have better specs in most of the areas, like better display, newer UFS storage (4.0), newer USB (3.2), and also in the given price of 25k, it is having 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, whereas at 25K, Nord CE 5 gives only 128 GB and I will have to go beyond my budget to get its 256 GB variant, priced at 27K.

Battery is less in Agni 4, but still 5000maH is good enough.

Agni 4 has Corning Gorilla glass protection too, which is another positive. Although Nord CE 5 specs do not mention any protection, but I read on internet that it has protection, but that of Asahi Dragonglass, which is a bit less than Corning Gorilla glass in terms of scratch resistance.

Only thing is that I was worried about Lava mobile performance and reliability, and their service, since it is very new to me. But I searched for it on the forum, and read positive things. So, now I am seriously considering Lava Agni 4.

Please provide feedback, and if it is positive, will go with it.

I am not sure of the phone Lava Agni 4 Phone. Spec wise it looks good on paper.

But I have seen how their service center worked in the past. Because it was situated in the ground floor of the building I had worked. Sometimes I had to swim through the crowd on the ground floor to access the stairs to go my 2nd floor office. That building didn’t have Lift. Everone waiting will be sitting on the stairs and scooters parked on the ground floor. A truck will arrive at 11-12 pm at night and they will send all phones in cardboard boxes for their main base in Bengaluru. The same truck will deliver repaired devices/spares. I had talked to the watchman who had his phone given by them and he always shares complaints given by the people waiting for service. Most complaints were regards to the charger/Battery, display and sound. I had the oppurtunity to talk with some service people as they leave home and they always rant about poor QC. They have a specific cost sheet and their service charge will be added to it. Anyways I heard that they closed that branch when Covid hit and they reconsolidated their networks.

Anyways this was in the past. I really think that they would have done a better job now.

Thank you for sharing. Sorry for replying late, I wasn’t well.

I think their service has improved. They are providing home service while the device is in warranty, and have read positive feedback about it. Regarding their service centers too, they are mostly positive.

Haven’t read any real feedback from users who have bought Lava Agni 4. Two users posted about buying it on Reddit, but they haven’t provided a detailed review yet.

Also, there is no rating or reviews yet on Amazon for the phone. I was expecting ratings or reviews by now.

Feedback of reviewers are mostly positive about the phone, but some reviewers did say that they experienced some jitters while operating the phone. They said the software needs optimization. Althouth these jitters can be fixed by software updates, but yea, reading that creates a bit of doubt in the mind. If the jitters aren’t big enough (so far it seems like that), then I am willing to buy the phone, but if there are bugs which will cause issues operating the phone in everyday usage, then it is a problem.

So yea, there is a bit of uncertainty regarding that, if I want to go for this phone.

But yea, specs wise, the phone is very tempting.
