What does the computer need to have in order to use those extra hdmi ports?
In short will this work over any USB-C port?
This dock is designed to be used with laptops that support the standard USB-C Alt Mode for video output and USB Power Delivery — meaning:
-
It can charge the laptop (up to ~65–100 W depending on your adapter).
-
It provides USB data (keyboard/mouse, storage, etc.) over the connection.
-
It can output video to external monitors only if the USB-C port on your computer supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode).
Can the laptop be charged through this dock?
Yes he stated it has 90w output power.
