Looking for a Lifepo4 based home backup solution

Hi there folks!

So, I’m looking to get a Lifepo4 + inverter based backup solution for PC and other stuff such as fans, lights, etc. The power cut happens randomly within a day but usually lasts from 10-30 mins, sometimes extending upto an hour but nothing major.

Since, I currently rent the place so I’d like to avoid getting a Lead Acid battery majorly due to their weight and maintenance part. So, I think Lifepo4 based solution would suit me better.

Max Loads would be in 300-400 Watts range at a time so I guess 1kVA inverter should suffice.

For battery I’m considering this

100Ah prismatic cell battery pack

with smart bms. Hope the bms used is JK in this because have heard not so great things about daly bms.

Now, I’m confused on the inverter part. I have heard things about your regular inverters with lifepo4 batteries that

  1. they won’t charge lifepo4 batteries to full
  2. they have trouble detecting the battery between power cuts and need to be reset everytime

I’d like to avoid such a scenario that’s why I’m seeking your help.

@anujster - I have used a JK BMS based battery pack with my standard inverter from Amaron HB1250A and haven’t faced any issues in close to 2 months. I bought the cells from Vipul but got the BMS separately. I think you can ask them to create a pack using JK BMS as well.

But if you don’t have an inverter or battery yet I suggest you get a newer inverter which supports LFP, Microtek sells both the inverter and battery these days. And the combo has a 5 year warrranty.
