I’m looking for options in the entry-level range for an over-ear headset with a microphone. The over-ear form factor is a requirement. Bluetooth or wireless is appreciated, but not necessary. Would like to keep it under 3,500/- to whatever extent possible.
What would be your primary purpose ? Like Music, calls, gaming etc ?
Don’t buy non branded bluetooth headphones if attending meetings is one of the key requirement.
I have bought a rebranded headphone, sony 1000XM4, Gen 3 Airpods and I keep going back to Apple wired 3.5mm headphones. Best in terms of call quality and comfort in my experience.

I don’t plan on using them to join official meetings. My use case is discord vcs while gaming.
Razer V2x Blackshark will be more than sufficient for your use case then overall. You can find it easily during sales for 2k. Do not buy it for more than that. If not JBL Quantum M2. Under 3k.

So from what I can tell, this has a 3.5mm wired connection. If I plan to use it by plugging into the rear audio of my desktop, then do I need a splitter? I already have one.
Does it have separate mic port or audio and mic combined ?

Usually the motherboard+ case supports combo jack for the front IO. Will need to check that as well.
