Looking for storage solution with a budget of ₹15k

I am a photographer and a filmmaker and mainly deal with AudioVisual Media. I currently own two Seagate HDDs (5TB+3TB), I have all of the data of the 3TB already backed up on the 5TB. Use these two HDDs primarily for backup, and a Samsung external SSD 1TB to work on current projects, which I regularly backup on both the drives.

Currently, I am looking to buy an extra SSD or free up this SSD. I have a total budget of 15k to figure out some backup solutions, I was looking into NAS and PiBox enclosures, and was wondering if something can be figured within this budget to improve my storage solutions, I’m also willing to sell my current HDDs if it means I can backup that data on the new solution. I’m very new to the whole NAS and PiBox things, I am figuring I can learn from tutorials, it doesn’t seem intimidating, just lack of devices to figure it out is all.

Thank you!!

I’m not looking just for trade, but also open to suggestions as well, as to how to go about this whole situation. Thank you!!!

The cheapest option is usually DIY.

Pentium G5420T (lower TDP), 8th gen Intel OR i3 8100T, 8th gen Intel

Cheap H310 motherboard and related parts.

For the storage solution you can use TrueNAS, Unraid or OpenMediaVault. I personally went with TrueNAS.

I don’t have any experience with prebuilt NAS solutions.
