Yes. I’m getting a 27” 1440p 300hz monitor around 18k. Probably going to grab that. Main concern is which gpu to go for around 20-25k.
Other option for the monitor is Samsung 1080p 27” 240hz for close to 17-18k as well.
For a 1440p system and to drive it at higher refresh rates you will need a beefier GPU. My suggestion would be to stick to 1080p to keep the costs down.
Also if you plan to enter tournaments - most of them will have 1080p systems.
I agree. It’s just that the cost difference is nil in 1440p and 1080p monitors. Both IPS panels, both 27 inches and 1080p 240hz vs 1440p 300hz.
It’s a bit of a spot. Been there as well. The only issue is the price cap you have on the GPU - which will limit the frame rates.
Are you looking to enter tournaments or just happen to like esports titles?
Just a hobbyist, say 1-2 matches every night post dinner to catch up with old friends. The highest I’ve been is Plat in Valorant so pretty far from tournaments lol. It’s not a super hard cap but I would like to get a gpu for as close to 25k as possible, I’ve seen a few 3080 cards go for that rate every and then, and multiple 3070ti cards ar3 available around 22-23k.
In that case then i would say aim for a used 3080.
1080p monitors should not exceed 24inches
