Maxthon is a multi-tabbed browser based on the IE core (IE5.x or above required). It can open multiple web pages within one browser window, and uses little system resources.

Maxthon has a greatly integrated & customizable interface which supports Skins, Plug-Ins, IE Extensions, & specific toolbars (example: GOOGLE
Toolbar).

Maxthon also incorporates 2 POPUP blockers (Auto POPUP blocker & a POPUP blocker list filter) and a Content Filter. The Content filter can be used to filter offensive pictures on a web page,
if desired.

This version Includes: Plugin: AI Roboform, FlashSave, ViewSource, EnableRightClick, Up a Directory, Weather.
Skin: Default, Turbo Qute, Mozilla_2, Safari, TCPort, X_Phoenity.

  • Function max_activex is changed on to only run on local pages.

i use FF n IE.. rarely use Maxthon.. but i’ll upgrade it anyway..

Me using Opera as primary n FF as secondary browser!
No browser based on IE for me!
P.S. : Since my exams r going to start, I am not really banned from posting, am I? :face_with_tongue:

yep..Maxthon is good but not the best…
still comes with all IE security flaws.. :face_with_tongue:

Whats best is a matter that should be left up to each user and his or her own needs from a browser.

Every browser has security flaws.

Well i am currently stickingwith firefox only. Too much messed up with changing browsers as i have to re make my huge bookmarks in the browsers again.
Surely going to give a try to Maxthon. Just to check how it performs..

Well..yeah I agree completely..
each user has the right to choose his/her own browser.

Still u’ll have to agree that IE is more insecure than FF or Opera.
Maxthon uses the same IE engine though it has got sm good featres.
From wat I’ve heard IE7 will have improved pop-up blocker, tabbed browsing
and many such new features. That will mean the end of Maxthon.
