We already have a common meme thread where people from all background post stuff. This looks like a discrimination thread like a space for south indians specifically tamilians. A forum should be open and fair with no caste and language barriers.
Looking at this thread other members might follow the trend and create their own closed threads like biharis, bhojpuri, hindi, punjabi etc. Not good for the integrity of the forum.
nothing wrong. This is specifically Tamil related post which others don’t understand. While there can be common stuff in English, there can be some threads in specific languages. it is not discrimination. how often you see posts here. hardly Tamil people post here. occasional Tech stuff , which only tamils appreciate, it doesn’t harm. let other languages have their own threads. it wont harm anything.
I think since this is in the off-topic section, members who don’t find it worth their time can just click ignore and move on? Also, calling it discrimination is a bit of an exaggeration, it’s just people sharing random memes and not actively discussing a tech topic or news which other members don’t understand.

there are memes with occasional Hindi in Daily memes thread. Have anyone complained? This thread is not even that active. randomly 2-3 ppl post here in 6 months. ppl complain out of nothing. @@Tobikage @@ashish

The genes are different and they were initially divided on the basis of religion from India . Then came the ideology , food , literature and communication .
In general , I do not really like the trying to establish " Tamil " as an identity and claims of exclusivity and superiority . Fun part is many who keep shouting " Tamil " on top of their lungs cannot even pronounce a few sentences properly . People from other linguistic mother tongues like Telugu , Malayalam have mastered Tamil much better than the average Tamil who thinks whose only purpose in life is defending Tamil , proving it as the oldest language and claims of it being superior ,while not actually mastering the language or acquiring the skills for the lanugage .
did any of us ask for translation of Hindi in so many memes in Daily meme thread? We just ignore and move on. Some guys in TE having fun in hindi, what is our problem? Why can you just do the same? This thread was hardly active. ppl invent problems here because they have nothing better to do ?

lol. laughing at fools in this thread, No one spoke of “tamil pride” here. I often debate with linguistic superiority guys on X or FB, who are all against BJP and pro DMK.. who spoke about Tamil superiority / identity here?. if you can have occasional hindi memes, I can have occasional tamil memes. I created a separate thread because this cant be translated as well and did not want to confuse larger audience . I came to know of “Daily memes” thread only by reading the responses here.
Chill guys there is no need for this type of discussion, the thread is supposed to be funny for Tamil speakers so let them enjoy others will simply ignore. Having said that its advise we communicate in English occasional non english posts should be harmless though.
