Microsoft is rethinking on scaling down Copilot and Recall on Windows 11

Microsoft is walking back Windows 11’s AI overload — scaling down Copilot and rethinking Recall in a major shift: You won: Microsoft is walking back Windows 11’s AI overload | Windows Central
In an exclusive report from Windows Central, Microsoft is mulling pulling back its Windows 11 AI push with a major Copilot and Recall rethink.

Only when share price plummeted. But knowing how evil f***s at MS operate, they will rebrand Copilot and introduce it again in future by being discreet.

Yep, this is default enshittification behavior.

Instead it should reconsider to recall the entire failed Win 11 and rollback Win10 and make the damn world happy again.

Perfectly said bro.

Agreed, they nuked cortana and brought copilot, history will repeat if copilot also fails

User testing failed successfully

Unless their developers say there are no copilot teams in their windows org, dont trust them.

I hope every AI company will crash and burn. Who the heck wants agentic os anyway.

Then I will be able to afford a RAM :smiling_face_with_horns:

Just like Take Two’s (parent of Rockstar) share prices were wiped because of Google’s Genie 3?

I hate to break it to you, but the only people who are hyping this shit are the same people who have invested billions upon them.

I mean its about time they realized their mistakes and took back the slop.

You forgot that many new laptops have the copilot button :smiling_face_with_horns:

The button logo can easily be sanded down.

I remember Microsoft had done same thing with Cortana or another such gimmick.

Many laptop manufacturers gives option to reconfigure the function buttons.

Copilot is just ChatGPT with lobotomy performed on it, it’s responsible AI framework is very restrictive, who in their right mind would use such heavily filtered AI when there are better alternatives available? (apart from Microsoft employees, of course.) People rejected it for obvious reasons, even before factoring in all the Enshittification with agent integration. On the coding front, you’ve the option to use Claude’s Sonnet but that’s another ballgame.
