Multiple Apple Product announcements expected starting Monday 2nd Mar

My MacOS experience on an MBA has been successful. I may upgrade to the M5 MBP 16” this year.

Dont see any difference

Same

And why is it 65k in india but US price is 600usd while iphone 17 was 83k with 800 usd

18 Gst tax

Then iphone 17 should be 87k no?

Wait the inr has fallen it must be because of that i guess

made in india adv?

I dont think so they never dropped price with the 16/17 it was same as 13 which were not made in india at that time

The price of a luxury product is unrelated to whether it is made in your country or imported.

They removed the 16e from the line up. Expected because the 17e launched at the same price.

But if we get 16e at around 40k due to this, that is a steal. On amazon/flipkart lowest price without offers was 52k.

New Launches from today 3rd March

MacBook Air (M5) Called it. M5 Air is here, 13" and 15", no design changes as expected. The chip brings a 10-core CPU, up to 10 GPU cores with Neural Accelerators per core, and 153GB/s memory bandwidth — 28% up from M4. AI performance is claimed at 4x the M4 Air. Apple’s also dropped in the N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The one actual change beyond the silicon: base storage is now 512GB, up from 256GB, with 2x faster SSD read/write speeds. Starts at $1,099 in the US — $100 more than the M4 Air. India pricing TBD but expect it to land around the ₹99,900–₹1,04,900 range we estimated. Pre-orders Wednesday, ships March 11.

MacBook Pro (M5 Pro / M5 Max) The main Mac announcement this week, as anticipated. 14" and 16", M5 Pro and M5 Max. The Fusion Architecture is real — two 3nm dies bonded into a single SoC, a first for Apple silicon. Both chips get an 18-core CPU with six “super cores” and 12 efficiency cores, delivering up to 30% faster multithreaded performance over M4 Pro/Max and up to 2.5x over M1 Pro/Max. GPU is up 20%, ray-tracing up 35%. M5 Pro tops out at 64GB unified memory (up from 48GB on M4 Pro) at 307GB/s; M5 Max stays at 128GB but bandwidth jumps to 614GB/s. Each GPU core now has a Neural Accelerator — over 4x the AI compute of last gen. New additions include hardware-accelerated AV1 decode, Memory Integrity Enforcement (an always-on memory safety feature Apple’s calling an industry first), and each Thunderbolt 5 port now has its own dedicated controller for independent full-bandwidth operation. Pre-orders Wednesday, ships March 11. Buy/wait flag still stands — M6 with OLED and touchscreen is coming later in 2026. If you can hold 9–12 months, that’s the real generational leap.

M5 Pro and M5 Max — The Silicon Worth a separate note on the chip itself since the architecture shift is significant. The Fusion Architecture bonds two third-generation 3nm dies into one SoC — CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, Media Engine, unified memory controller, and Thunderbolt 5 all housed across the two dies. The 18-core CPU design with “super cores” is new branding but the performance gains are legitimate — 30% over M4, 2.5x over M1. Also of note: Memory Integrity Enforcement, which Apple is calling an industry first for always-on memory safety. These are still TSMC 3nm parts — the jump to 2nm comes with M6 and the iPhone 18 cycle. If you need a machine now, M5 Pro/Max is excellent. If you can wait until late 2026–27, M6 on 2nm will be a bigger step up than what we’re seeing here.

Studio Display XDR This one wasn’t on the confirmed list but Gurman had flagged it as possible, and it’s landed. The Pro Display XDR is discontinued — the Studio Display XDR replaces it. 27-inch, mini-LED, 5K, 2,000 nits peak HDR brightness, up to 120Hz. Connectivity is the headline: two Thunderbolt 5 ports (120Gb/s) on the back — one upstream with 140W charging, one downstream for daisy-chaining — plus two USB-C ports at 10Gb/s. Starts at $3,299 for standard glass, $3,599 for nano-texture. No India pricing yet. Pre-orders Wednesday, ships March 11.

How, it’s already fast af. Are they using some new technology?

The new studio display XDR costs only 4L. Apple is kind enough to include stand for free this time.

2x 256 gig nand chips most probably

Not even proper gen3 nvme speed what are you talking about

M5 Air price hike is quite surprising. It’s a whole ₹20,000 price bump.

In the US the price bump was just $100 USD while here it’s around $217~ USD (subject to the current exchange rate).

I have been thinking if I should get a Mac Studio right now. Base is enough for me, but maybe they hike price.

I’m waiting to see if my mini/studio prediction pans out.

Today will be all about MacBook Neo. I don’t think they will announce Mini or Studio today. Maybe directly M6 for them.
