Interesting to see there’s no importer information, do you they’re manufacturers or relabellers?
You’re mandated to have importer information if you’re importing yeah? Even if you’re relabelling after importing.
Maybe these people are actually soldering the chips onto pcbs here.
“SEC” imprinted on DRAM chips means its Samsung. Icing on cake if its really Samsung. @rsaeon is it really “SEC” imprinted or am i just imagining?
Memtest passed, but there’s no spd information about manufacturer for module or dram, it’s blank.
In the semiconductor world chip markings can be deceiving.
On the left is original, right one is counterfeit.
Visually they appear the same, even work the same.
But if we do X-ray, the differences do appear.
Using stolen IP, processes, and masks, they are able to produces the chips on ancient node and tech, when this happens the differences show up in very weird places like deep sleep current consumption of the chip.
Tried checking with HWinfo?
Did they change the pricing since your purchase ? I am pretty sure it wasn’t this before.

They changed it at least twice, it was under 4k when I placed my order, then it went to over 4k when I got a shipping notification and when I last checked it’s over 6k.

Stolen IP,masks and tech is valid but it’s not possible to produce it on older node. But the producer must have the exact tech. Why making them in older node is impossible? For example let us take this was produced in 32/28nm tech and the production has 65nm physical speaking the mask won’t match i.e we add something called as fillers to close the nwell continuity so it changes timing and whatnot in the design. Best bet would be they are doing from scratch(re-synthesising the design for older tech) or else they are breaking these older chips and adding new package for it. By the looks of the image it seems to be repacking.
Else somewhere in Chinese basement they have a factory for producing same thing but the package under the same name.
