Name a GPU You Hated and One That You Loved

This is BEAUTIFUL :’’)

I’d love to hear more about Mali, Adreno and other not well known usecase GPU tech around this context from the members

XFX 5200 was the most hated purchase I ever had. Also, its very hard to choose my top fav gpu as every GPU I held evolved in its own time so comparing will be an injustice rather an insult. I loved all my GPUs except the 5200 which I exchanged happily with a an MX440 and saved a few bucks with a refund which I invested into an extra 4gb memory.

Riva TNT2 Model 64 was my legendary GPU when everyone was stuck with those onboard Sis and Bro video this card made my gaming race so easier.

I equally hated my FX 5200. Poop-tier.

First gpu purchase - 1050ti was bang for the buck for low 1080p gaming and even high for old games such as arkham.

Just to add GTX690 was my beefy card both in terms of weight and performance and more to that it was a gift to me so it was a special one. Sold it here 3 yrs ago.

Not sure if this qualifies.

I hated SiS 6215. This card came 1MB memory and could not run any game released during its time in the late 90’s.

Love my current XT7700, its my first expensive GPU bought a couple of years ago.

That looks like a speaker grill.

Hated the MX150. Loved the 2080ti which was the first proper gpu I got.

I like how it looks.

Not all GPUs are meant to power games or every game but only meant for video output.

Well, I had a Trident 9750 4mb AGP 4x GPU back then and it was not even able to run NFS 3 HP and at that time and I was advised to go for a Voodoo or an ATi GPU which then costed a bomb nor any parents would actually fund for gaming.

Yet I cheer my first GPU as it ran other games pretty nicely.

Sis was really a sorry GPU both onboard and AGP. I would call it a failed company altogether.

Glad Nvidia released good GPUs right from their first release and I was able to grab Riva TNT2 Model 64 64mb GPU by my hard earned pocket money type savings during my mid-college yrs.. This GPU which played every game thrown at it like todays RTX5090.

I will proceed to update my initial post about the best and worse GPU I had. This Riva is the true legend for me what made my gaming a total paisa vasool and memorable. I bought it for running NFS 4:High Stakes on full eye-candy and it enabled all those disabled graphics option and my oh my the I played the game the way it was meant to be.

My 2nd gaming laptop had Nvidia GT 740m which had the power to play anything that I wanted for years to come. I still love that laptop.

My first desktop PC was a Celeron with Intel GPU. I have always hated the Intel GPU from that period a lot because I could not run games requiring dedicated GPU. I used to visit my friend’s place who had an Nvidia GPU and Core2Duo (GOAT CPU from that period) and he showed me Modern Warfare. I was in awe with the visual quality and sad at same time since I couldn’t run it.

Years later I finally built my first PC with an Intel 2500K and GTS 450. I played my heart out since it could handle most games. And finally in 2017 I got an MSI 1070 which is my best GPU. I could play all games at Ultra settings without frame drop.

I have used 3090 as well but 1070 is my best love. It is still rocking along with 2500K after all these years.

Never hated any so far from the ones I owned ( X600XT, X800XT, X1800XT, HD4850, HD4890, HD5970, GTX 980Ti and GTX 1080Ti ). Most I loved or still loving is my 1080Ti. Bought in 2017 and still serves me well.

Hard to hate your GPU when it was the one to bring you above integrated graphics. My first dGPU was AMD R7 240 2GB – it was the “beast” to me back then because it made The Amazing Spiderman 1 playable for me
Upgraded to 1660 Super much later, and now the RX 9060 XT. Can’t say I hate any of them. Much love to all.
