Now to upgrade the Ram to 32gb and storage to 1 or 2 TB.
Any suggestions for a decent, cheap ram and HDD?
It’s DDR5 SODIMM RAM na? Upto which speed does your laptop support? I think either buying same exact speed RAM is one option if it is crucial or samsung or buying entirely a kit of 32GB(16GBx2) is one another option but this will be slightly costly.
Then for an SSD, if you want 7000mbps read and write speeds then Samsung 990 Pro 1 or 2 TB is best or Kingston KC3000 1 or 2 TB is cheaper than samsung.
But you can ask manichanda TE forum reseller when going for samsung 990 pro ssds. His is open box and cheaper then market price.
Ya it has 16GB DDR5-4800 MHz SO-DIMM RAM. Need to check if its 8*2 or a single 16gb unit. And will check on the SSD’s from him.
Some 90 Wh battery ones do not have an extra slot it seems. Need to check that too.
Also check what brand it is so that we can suggest on either going with another stick of similar brand ram or entirely new kit. Okay.
Post a CPU-Z screenshot once as this will be easy.
I think to see the brand one needs to open the back panel of the laptop. I don’t know exactly but post the cpuz screenshot 1st.
These are the CPU-Z Snaps. When i click on Slot#2 ,there is no info there. Does this mean the laptop has 2 slots and only one of them is occupied?
Also any way to know if there is an additional HDD slot available or not. The manufacturer website is of no use here.
This means it has 2 RAM slots where 1 slot is occupied and other one is vacant.
Your present RAM is this Micron 16GB DDR5 5600 PC5-44800 1Rx8 SODIMM Laptop Memory RAM MTC8C1084S1SC56BD1 according to the number given in CPUZ.
Here is a ebay link for above RAM:
Now give me the link to the laptop from where you bought? Okay. I can tell you about whether it has 2 NVME slots or not. Okay.
I bought it from reliance digital.
Also i believe this RAM will work right?
Do you have any product page link of the laptop?
This is what I am asking OP from the start.
Yes this will work.
Finally found the link:
It supports NVME 4.0 SSD. Only 1 SSD is supported.
