Nvidia 7800 GTX reviews

So they will start pouring in now.

EDIT : Sorry was just a preview

I am waiting for the H an TR’s reviews though.

Where is it, or is this thread for future reviews ?

NO dude… Aces posted a link. Then he realised it was a preview of which we have read many.,…

So, he edited the post and removed the link…

Anyway we can make this as a thread for the reviews that will start coming in…

And it seems that the first 7800 GTX has been sold. Guru3D.com carries an article in which it states that the 7800 GTX has been released in the UK. The same article contains a post which states that a card has been sold.

The reviews have started :

***Woot Transparency Supersampling looks amazing without a huge performance hit…

Same here… The difference is not staggering enough to upgrade from a 6800GTo r Ultra unless you want braggin rights.

The only noticeable difference is the transparency supersampling… Otherwise, there is no need to go for a 7800 GTX.

hwz review

Anandtech’s Review

Guru3d link. Nice review with purevideo tests too.
And its amazing to see how well purevideo is finally running on 7800GTX.
ANd Luna pics therer too

Also 1 more new demo, Mad Mod Mike. I like it better than Luna to be honest :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

But to be honest now i really want to wait for R520.

Wow man, awesome demos. Will just let myself drool cause thats about all that I can do ;). And my damn ultra is just 2.5 months old cant ditch that just for transparency supersampling…

yeah but that transperency ss looks amazing. That should have ben here a long time ago.

Finally Nvidia is ditching the brute force approach. And introducing features which actually works. It TS looks really amazing, but I doubt whether the mid range cards would be able to handle that…

Actually Nvidia has done a great job by making the cards ready on the day of the launch ! I hope ATi learns from this…

nd this is just gonna be thier mid end card
Damn whr will i bring 1000$'s frm

“If you are reading this review and laughing at the people who spend money like water on bleeding edge technology, this card is not for you. The Intel IGP is in the next aisle… it will do you just fine.”

Read this at Tom’s Hardware’s Review of the 7800 GTX, here

http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20050622/nvidia_7800_gtx-22.html

Can somebody throw some light on the above statement??

Will intel’s Integrated Graphics Processor be very powerful or what???

DC.

lol…they mean to say tht if u find this card not worth the money then the IGP is just fine for them… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

yeah… for people who are not die hard gamers… for those sort of people, the onboard graphics will be good enough. The latest ones… which are yet to be released…

Well, now even TT have posted a review here

So the card has hit Indian shores then…
