Nobody should buy the any of the 50 series imo the fact that the 5080 can’t even get close to the 4090 and has severe pcie issues along with some CPU overhead issues especially when using upscaling is enough to make any reasonable person not go anywhere near this historically garbage generation. It is the first time since the GTX 280 from 2007 that the 80 class card has not been able to surpass or atleast match the previous generation flagship at 3/4 to half the price this shows how absolutely abhorrent the situation is and all Nvidia has done this time is hide the fact that they don’t have any truly newer generation hardware.

The 5070 can’t even surpass but is slower than the last generation 4070Ti and the 5070Ti is also slower than the 4080. This entire series that has been announced till now is so bad that it makes the 40 series somehow look good. Nvidia price gouged the 40 series at launch especially the 4080 and then later dropped the prices and now they are leveraging those insanely garbage prices to make this series look good because for them it’s all about optics now and nothing else. I just hope that people can look through Nvidia’s shady and false marketing and advertising and just buy older generations at lower prices and used prices as a lot of the used cards still have at least 6 months to over 2 years of remaining warranties and some even have full 3 years. If people don’t accept this trash premise of Nvidia they won’t be able to sell and will be forced to lower the prices just like the last generation and maybe then they might have a product that is a little better in terms of value.

Basically this… I ended up buying a 4070ti Super (new with 4 year warranty) i was getting at 71k and called it a day.. it has 16GB VRAM as well and if i have to settle for 16, might as well save my money.. sure, it’s 25% slower than a 5080 @ 4k.. but i will manage… meanwhile will save up for the eventual 5080ti which should have actually been the 5080 and see where we land with that thing.. i actually went to the market to get a 5080 today but i JUST couldn’t justify pulling the trigger..

In US 5080 is going for $1000 while 5090 is going for $2000 for FE versions. AIB versions might be higher.

I was getting a 4080 super in 90k .. but it would’ve arrived in a week and i couldn’t wait that long so i said F it and just got this.. it’ll do for now, should still be getting atleast 60fps in the games i mostly play at 4k and in the few games that WILL struggle no doubt, i’m planning on picking up a secondary 1440p display, i’ll just play on that xD

Keeping fake frames aside, this shit is only 9-15% faster than a 4080S. Hey, but at least the price is the same (good luck getting one at that price for a year, at least :clown: ). This gen makes makes the 40 series look like the 2nd coming of Pascal, in comparison.

Galax RTX5080 is 143k while Asus ROG Strix is 173k. I think these are from fb sellers.

Gigabyte offers 4 years, Got it from Nehru Place… I know some people who can arrange deals .. few and far between… I got lucky.. these usually go for 82k.. I got an 11k discount..
Also I just got quoted 135k for a Gigabyte Windforce 5080 which is an MSRP card… Should be 107k..

It most probably won’t sell for anything close to msrp for about a year until the super/Ti models come out
