Well, it is true though.
All of this AI menace is making PS5 look like a much more attractive and value for money platform than it should be.
My 3060ti is running great but needs a repaste as it’s hitting 82c+ easily. I was wondering if i should sell and buy new. I did think of repasting it but scared if I’ll end up killing it like i did with my processor.
While i only play CS, ow2 and gta at times that too at 1080p, my fomo is kicking in hard seeing the prices and world politics. I’m getting the flashbacks of me buying a 3070ti at 1.2L during the mining craze, better to buy now than at 2x price?
PS5? I’m looking at a PS2 again ![]()
Its kind of expected given current ram shortages. Also Nvidia are more focused on their high paying AI customers.
What do y’all guess will be next. My bet is smartphones will slowly see a price increase as well due to RAM and Storage shortage.
I’ve realized that it’s better to buy an in warranty gpu (new/used) and have some peace of mind rather than risk it with what you are using (unless you don’t care or are using a low end gpu).
Well, my 3060ti died as well. Looking at getting it fixed. What makes it bizarre is that I had only unmounted it to clean the pc. When I mounted it again, the psu would trip instantly. It’s the exact same problem which @dash2009 is also going through with his 3070. ![]()
They already are. All the new launches are happening at a much higher price compared to their last year models. If Chinese can’t sell their phones cheap, it’s a clear indication of what is to follow.
That’s sad. Guess I’ll keep using it and hope nothing happens.
Typical ASUS, walking back even on this statement. The cards are apparently not EOL yet.
As long as it’s from a reputable AIB, those things will chug along fine. And when your’e unsure, leave the repasting to the pros, rather than risk bricking your card.
Update and timeline added to first post too
The timeline so far, per Hardware Unboxed
- Hardware Unboxed asks ASUS (and other partners) for RTX 5070 Ti samples
- An ASUS PR representative says samples are not available due to supply constraints, and calls ASUS models “end of life”
- Hardware Unboxed asks ASUS to clarify. ASUS confirms the “end of life” wording
- Retailers are contacted to verify supply. Retailers report no stock available to buy for stores
- Hardware Unboxed publishes a video based on the on-record ASUS statement plus retailer checks
- NVIDIA says GeForce SKUs are still shipping
- ASUS follows up, saying NVIDIA told ASUS the RTX 5070 Ti is not end of life, and that ASUS is “streamlining some models”
- Hardware Unboxed publishes that clarification
- ASUS follows up again with a third statement, now saying the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB are not discontinued or EOL
- Hardware Unboxed requests RTX 5070 Ti samples again
This made me laugh so hard man ![]()
Market is bad. Rushers will make worse, better stay away. They can’t create demand.
I have always stood by the same principle.
Not only for hardware, for software too.
- GoTo Step 2.
Repeat this till singularity ![]()
so Asus fears nvidia? acting like mouthpiece of nvidia!
Asus fears everyone, they were launching RAM too but only for a day ![]()
