Anyone excited about 1080?! ITs retailing for 599$ whereas titan X retailed for 1000$. Thats massive difference in cost alone
I am looking at DDR5 vs GDDR5X. This will decide what I am gonna get. Not into the best card on planet thing though
Titan x was retailing for 1.1 lakh in india. But 1080 should be priced decently my titan x friend is going to be pissed.

BTW doom is running at 200fps so they had to scale it back to 150fps. Having more fps is a good problem to have
My guess, 1080 priced at $1000 equivalent and 1070 priced at $650 equivalent.
I think that the 1070 will cost between 35-40k(maybe lower).
Most probably at launch prices would be like 40k for 1070 and 60k for 1080
They eventually will fall after availability
1060 will come in October probably
Waiting to see the difference these make to Playback/Rendering etc in Adobe apps
So this one is a good buy afterall . Lets see how it performs in ROTR/ Witcher 3 with Ultra settings @ 1440p/4k.
Again, let’s wait for independent reviews instead of all these leaks.
P.S. Those aren’t impressive numbers at all and kinda disappointing if true, @@Chaos you may start sharpening your pitchfork now
I am more curious if this is the reference card or the AIB. AIB will be able to push the card almost by 10 to 20 percent easily and maintaining the power band.
Expecting that this gives more performance to power ratio.
Any news on the waterblocks??
And how much will it cost if i import a gpu from usa
I thought the 1080 was faster than 2x980tis!
Yeah that’s what they said. But what exactly does 2x faster than 980ti mean? It obviously can’t get like twice the GPS. They were pretty unclear about it
2x980ti means 2 980 tis in sli!
Yeah yeah I get that. I mean I don’t know what they mean when the said “2x faster”. How do they judge the performance with numbers?
Does it score double in benchmarks?
Yes, according to Hsun Huang!
HAHAHAHA!! gawd damn fucking click-bait articles. Though i already knew that they were.
Not possible. First nvidia people were not specific about the benchmarks used and detailed numbers involved. Second it will be ridiculous if the GTX1080 really gives better performance than 2x GTX 980 at its asking price. Unless they were referring to results of some particular softwares (solely for this, often they make dedicated custom drivers for such purposes). While for real-world in-game performance, I assume that the GTX 1080 Ti would give about .5x performance (at best) of the GTX 980 Ti while consuming much lesser energy-watt than the GTX 980 Ti which imo will be the main selling point besides the performance. Rumours and “leaked” benchmarks be damned. Nvidia is doing their best in making Pascal sound like its the best thing. However to me its great only on paper. And also late launch of Polaris isn’t helping either.
May be AMD is waiting to see what pascal is all about and then think of getting some minor tweaks to get the numbers higher before they launch Polaris. Not a bad move, but definitely a delayed deal.
Actually that paragon demo was running at 60 fps, and that was pretty high tech. TIm Sweeney had mentioned that he gets around 5-6 fps on current gen technology!
Also Doom was running at 160 fps on Vulcan!
