I downloaded a movie, and unfortunetly it turned out to be a **.ogg file. **
Plz clear my doubts:
-
Now .ogg is played by windows media player and VLC and not by powerDVD, am i correct? What other player play these type of files?
-
Now i get subtitles in English, which comes automatically (I din’t enable it) and i play the .ogg file in media player.
How to disable the subtitles thing? It uses a “vob-sub” thing which i see in the system task bar, when i play the file.
**Plz tell how to remove these subtitles. **
I thought ogg was a music format??!!
^ No i have a full length movie in this format
1.4gb
.ogg or .ogm is a container format, shud have a separate video and audio interleaved together.
- Most media players like BS player, classic media player, zoom, divx player will play the files provided u have the codecs installed.
- I think BS player should allow to switch off the subtitles. Try using it. works for me.
Download BSPlayer
Hmm..Thanks for the reply and the Bsplayer suggestion. I downloaded the player and dont know… , i dint like it. PowerDVD, VLC, Windows media player will do.
And what i did was simply to disable the vob-sub thing which was giving me the subtitles which i dint want.
Ogg is actually an alternative aimed at mobile phone entertainment, considering its 50% reduction in size compared to mp3 (with negible tradeoffs)
