Just one month old mouse and scroll wheel suddenly stopped working,the scroll wheel button works,the mechanism to change scroll type works(doesn’t scroll though) ,tried updating firmware, resetting nothing worked.any help? First razer product so unaware about this
Its very common, Razer mice have scroll wheel issues just like how Logitech is known for their double click issues for years now. Mine’s scroll wheel (same mouse, now stored away as a backup) also stopped working a few months in as well and would sometimes start working again if I blew on it hard or smashed it. Believe it or not after been dead for a few days its scroll wheel randomly started working again like it was never dead. No clue what’s going on because if it’s happening due to debris being stuck inside then it shouldn’t “revive” randomly, especially after so long.
My advice would be to RMA it. I didn’t because I was lazy plus had no backup mouse at that moment so kept using it as it was. BUT before you do have you tried using it on a different system? or have you tried uninstalling the mouse drivers through device manager? (You will need a different mouse for this). I heard this works sometimes so might as well give it a try first before opting for RMA.

I used to get scroll issue sometimes, like when you try to scroll down it will scroll 5 down and 2 up
If you blow air on the scroll wheel it will get fixed. there might dust on scroll wheel
but in my case it will scroll randomly, not completely stopped

A jumping scroll wheel is a wheel that jumps up randomly while scrolling down or down when scrolling up unintentionally. It gets annoying pretty quick. For context, I was about to contact Razer support after scouring the internet for issues with my jumping scroll wheel until I happened across a previous reddit post in which someone had the exact same issues with their mouse being a DeathAdder Essential. In the comments someone said something which seemed to work like actual magic.
Solution:
Get as close to the scroll wheel with your mouth as possible and blow as hard as you can into every nook around it. Compressed air didn’t seem to work for me. I blew into my Viper v2 Pro pretty hard and after a couple breaths, this seemed to completely fix my issue. I am nearly 100% certain that there was no dust in there to begin with as my unit is pretty new which is why I’m convinced that this is black magic.

I have the same mouse, scroll wheel is the issue. I have limit myself from using their synapse software as they are known to brick it. Get it replaced, you don’t want to tinker with the device which is new.
Did all that steps didn’t work, planning to just send it for RMA ,wanted to avoid it as it will take a long time and have to bear courier charges
Best thing to do. Do a direct RMA to Acro; they handle the Razer RMA. But their RMA is horrible. If they have the product on hand they will ship it asap. Or else wait for a month, maybe. I had to wait for a month for my DAV3. 1st time I flicked the mouse too hard, the cable got loose inside, got it RMAed, and after 8 months the RMA unit developed scroll issue. Replaced the new wheel myself, and it’s working like a charm.
Definitely RMA it. I don’t know if its planned obsolescence or just bad design by big companies like Razer and Logitech but I have yet to see one product of theirs that isn’t flawed in one way or another. Even their software are trash, people complain about it all the time. Remember when things used to last long? Sad times these days.
Should i send it in orginal package? Since they will ship me replacement product in grey box(as per their own post)?
Razer has QC issues but for this particular one. It is a bad design. Planned obsolescence was never with logitech until their recent devices.
