How is the real world battery life under varying usage?
I’m not using it. It’s just lying around. I only put my sim in after checking a device. And this device is not going to work for me. So glad i never removed the sim from my old phone
wasted a lot of money finding the perfect phones. like everytime you buy a phone it instantly losses 10-20%. at last stopped buying high end and midrange mi,oppo, vivo oneplus it just doesnt feel right the moment you hold it. Not everyone is going to hate it but only those who have neophobia or picky of things faces this. for people like you better stick to same series phones you used and liked it..
Absolutely. Should have stayed with pixels. These bloody companies are fooling the customers in the name of offering better hardware for the price but then deliberately capping the performance. The customers of these products are the biggest fools, who only care about battery battery battery and battery and absolutely nothing else!
Being picky about something, especially from a product costing 29k isn’t any phobia. Rather those who accept these shitty products and call them good have some deep issues.
To be fair, the only way to counter the terrible SoT (heavens know why) of Android phones is a long battery life.
Oppo and Vivo I don’t like but I don’t think that One Plus is a bad choice per se.
Good SoC and decent battery. While camera is sub-par and UI gone from good to crap. However I consider it foolish to spend over 30k on brands like One Plus and Nothing. Regarding high-end Xiaomi and Vivo etc at least they have superb camera and good SoC. Before the launch of Vivo X100 I never cared about their phones.
Whats exactly is wrong with one plus gui ?
I bought ce5, GUI looks fine to me. Slightly better than M30s for me as i get a couple of things without extra apps.
Camera is fine for my usecase, much much better than m30s in low light atleast with default settings.
I don’t really understand mobile world. Everyone is a photographer running hardcore simulations it seems.
Not criticizing as such, everyone will have different use cases, but for most of us these are good enough already for basic use. My father is happy with redmi note 14 which has weaker soc ! I was and still am happy with M30s which was even weaker !
I do work on pc ..
yes, me love good battery ![]()
Do you honestly like the m30s? It’s been really bad for my dad. Some banking apps(i think sbi yono) straight up refusing to work because the android is outdated. He barely gets enough reception in areas where my realme 6 does decently, even though I think they came out at the same time. There is a SOLID delay when opening apps, searching for stuff.
As soon as you go to multitask between apps, it bogs down so heavily, it starts closing apps. Heck, even if you go to pay via zomato or something, you go to the UPI app, and when you come back to zomato, it’s already closed and is opening from scratch.
yes, still using it as backup. I only bought new one to get 5g as backup for work since 4g is running slow.
We dont bank on mobiles, i just don’t trust them for financial stuff at all. But its understandable that apps shouldnt work as it doesnt get security updates. Some recent mobiles are supporting for 6 years now. I dont really like mobile eco system which is severely locked down.
Dunno, i dont have problem in Mumbai.
I don’t notice this at all. But i run basic apps - browser / audio / video / yt and similar. Nothing too fancy.
My family member is using similar M21 for paying stuff with mobile in multiple places without issue. I don’t pay with mobile, only use amazon app which does not cause any issue.
Since its ram is on lower side, perhaps you have many apps open ? I barely have one or two and usually close them once done.
It is getting old, so people will have more uses cases where it does not work well, but ce5 seems fast enough.
Anyway, a bit out of topic.
I was upgrading to this from a nothing phone 2a, which is a shitty phone itself.
Let me give you all a quick review of this device and exactly how overrated and overpriced it is.
The display on this is extremely poorly calibrated. It’s boosted af, colours are colder than anything i have to compare with (my ultrasharp monitor, ipad and other much cheaper mobiles even). Every photo looks different than what they truly are. I don’t understand how the hell they didn’t bother to calibrate at least even decently. Did any review mention this? Of course not. This is my main reason for selling.
Then another important thing. Even with this hardware they have intentionally capped the frame rates on certain apps like Google maps. It refuses to work above 60hz no matter what. Imagine a 29k phone with shitty 60hz frames. The Nothing phone works absolutely perfectly on forced 120hz for all apps.
Then the loudspeakers. Lol. Neither loud nor have any depth. Worse than my phone 2a.
Camera is below average. And it’s a brick. But these two I knew beforehand.
I mean seriously exactly what does this phone offer which is worth 29k ffs? I’m sorry to say, those who actually praise these phones simply scroll through social media, take bunch of selfies, and change wallpapers every day or something. I mean i have been following their telegram group for the past 3 days along with reddit sub and that’s ALL they talk about.
Sorry for the long rant. I’m just done with these murga making chinese companies.
Totally OT, but can you just make a post of which brands you prefer/rankings and for what reasons.
