would really take some advice on whether this mouse is good for the longterm and how reliable it is
If you are getting the white one its a magnet for bodily oils. The smudges will pop out. Using one for a year now and now complaints whatsoever. Youll need to replace batteries every 3-4 months I think. Depending upon which ones you use ofc.
Using one for a year , no issues till now but I only use it for work and no gaming .
Its called G304 in India. Infamous for double click issue appearing after 1-2 year of use. reason - cheap omron switches used by Logitech.
But replacing switches quite easy if you can do basic soldering. I switched to TTC Gold Dustproof Mouse Micro Switch : Meckeys.com : Micro Switch
and no issues after that.
Same double click issue.Any switch recommendation for logitech g302 ? Is it good as original?
I have given the link of TTC gold above. Its way better than original. Open up the daughter board of your mouse, and ask a local phone repair shop to desolder the existing switches and solder the new ones. My guy did it for Rs 200. Plenty of youtube tutorials available.
Thank you bro
I too like this mouse a lot and I ended up buying an extra one for my father.
But my unit started having other issues, just after it crossed the 2 year period.
The mouse and receiver doesn’t pair. The lights on the mouse are on and the receiver is detected on the PC but no matter what I tried, it doesnt pair. Diffferent battery, different PC, deleting drivers, a bunch of logi software, nothing worked. I even opened it up to clean dust and applied a lot of IPA but no luck there as well.
Tried support but since it was OOW, no help from them and service centre only does in warranty replacement, no repair work.
So I’m left to trash this and acquire a new mouse unfortunately. Honestly, I’m open to get another one cause this particular mouse shape is something I started to really like, even better than superlight, viper, etc.
I would advice against Logitech. I haven’t had the best experience with them, most mice start having Double Click issues.
I would just looking into ATK VXE R1SE, you will find it on meckeys.com. I have been using the mouse for over 5-6 months now and it is working wonders. Good sensor, light weight, no issues, battery lasts me around 2 weeks on average + it has Tri-Mode connectivity.
unfortunately heard alot of something like this happening
my cousin has used the same mouse for an year or so, i dont think hes encountered anything unusual with it
Buy a second hand from the community here to understand why nobody recommends it
Even I have 2 under warranty working fine
I bought it back in 2020. After a year or so it started having double click issues, I replaced it with Kailh Gm8.0 switches and it has been working good.
Hi I have a lithium modded g304 working great but if you have a wifi router in close proximity (few feet) it might throw some jitter from time to time
Still on original switches I just cleaned the contacts inside the switch a like 2 years ago functions great
Cannot comment on battery as mine only lasts around 3-4 days
And the plastic exterior has polished itself
Almost 100% of the logitech mouses ( all Logitech models ) develop double click issue.
I had bought g502 and g302. All switches on both mouses went bad with double clicking issue. ( Literally all switches even dpi button as I had modified it with a shortcut)
I later replaced their switches after someone recommended, from genesis pc. Bought the highest tier switch available and oh man when i saw the switches after removing them, they were like 5rs switch from some Chinese company.
You can buy a logitech mouse and if it develops double click issue, solder new switches ( all switches and not only left click button)
Warranty would be of no use as you develop the issue again on new mouse
So i have been using 2*g304 for almost 4 years now.. had double click issues.. I opened the mouse, sprayed wd40 on the nice and it is working fine again… I got this tip here on TE only…
I am using one in office one at home.. I am actually waiting for atleast one to die so that I get a fair reason to buy a MX master or similar mouse.. these mouse are working perfectly fine..
I do have connectivity issues when I place some electronics like mobile between the mouse and adapter (mostly when battery is low) other than that i have had no issues… on both..
One is new product other is a refurbished from amazon..
Issue with WD40 unlike electronics-grade contact cleaners is that it leaves behind residue so not ideal for this purpose. It might fix the issue but it will have long term effect like mushy clicks or the problem appearing again but not solving anymore (I’m making crap up about the mushy click part as a example).
I mean yeah… you can use other contact cleaner but the point is, it get rid of the doubleclick issue… and yes the issue about wd40 I have not experienced that I did that atleast few months back on one g305, and both mouse feel same for me as before… may be I used it well..
not sure though…
I don’t recommend buying Logitech mouse especially the ones that are infamous for double clicks.
Yes you can repair (or try to) but should you? It is simply better to skip problematic mouse imo
