This has always been my experience with them. Don’t forget to add their charges. I have abandoned packages for this reason.

I didn’t have idea about custom duties when imported via dhl/fedex. I have imported a few things earlier via Yanwen and 4PX, I didn’t have to pay any import duties. This was unexpected 
Though I have asked seller to use 4PX but they said they only use DHL.
I bought similar NIC (M.2 Key A+E/PCI-E 2.5G Gigabit Ethernet Network Lan Card 1000Mbps RTL8125BG Chip | eBay) via ebay and it came via IndiaPost and was presented with ~700 INR customs tax at the time of delivery.

But looking at the price, importing and paying customs would probably turn out to be cheaper than this.

Yes it most probably is.
But this was the one that was listed in that article above so it should work without any problems.

Finally the realtek NIC got delivered today and this time I didn’t have to pay any custom duty/tax. The NIC works perfectly out of the box.

Yes, I ordered from Alibaba. I found it cheapest there.

I ordered two NICs. The first one was an Intel i226, which I abandoned due to high customs duty. It cost me around ₹1,800, which is now wasted. The second one is the current one — a Realtek — which cost around ₹1,400.
@dasshubham762 Quick question, why did you go for a 2.5G NIC?
Unless I’m wrong, the default NIC in the 5070 is 1G, so you would be bottle-necked at those speeds anyway, wouldn’t you?
I’m using the default 1G port as WAN and 2.5G one as LAN. So theoretically I can get 2.5G speeds on LAN if I get a 2.5G switch (which I don’t have currently). Also 2.5G NIC was cheaper on Alibaba.

Yes, rejected the delivery.
I abandoned a package for which DHL was just looting without any customs duty receipt and received a notice twice. I have moved places since and don’t know if they still send it. The port of entry was Mumbai thru air mail.
In my case, they are still updating Delivery not accepted in the tracking log since the first delivery date (29th July). Probably they’ll keep trying till a month and then dispose/auction the package if not accepted.
