simple, invest in a good case and close the mic and other openings with a mask like lint free cloth and you are set for several years

Can last 1 day of normal use (no gaming).

Mine is with a case since day 1, never dropped it as well, only place which is dirty is the speaker grill whcih is really not avoidable
