A good move for the time being. Amazon.com was already providing shipping to India for a lot of items. This will allow them to grab customer’s attention with the INR pricing and also provide a platform for the existing online retailers to advertise their products for free.
When they do arrive in India with their own supply-chain and warehouses etc. , they will already have an established userbase along with a lot of 3rd party vendors.
