Everytime I run a PS5 game, it overheats, shows temprature warning and shutdown. Not facing this issue while playing PS4 games (even the demanding ones like RDR2). I guess it might be due the fact that PS4 games just dont push PS5 to its limits.
I live in Mumbai, does anyone know a trusted shop who can do repairs/ possible liquid metal thermal paste replacement?
just buy thermal paste and watch a tutorial to do it, sony consoles are pretty simple to take apart.
I guess it’s better to take it to someone who has experience with liquid metal. In case it spills all over the place.
Shouldn’t even need to change paste probably the airflow is restricted just open the SDD side of the ps5 you should be able to tell if that is the issue or not no screwdrivers needed to get that panel off.
Thermal paste will overheat, ps5 is built for Liquid Metal.

I did that. Didnt help. Still overheats instantly. Hogwarts legacy wont even go past the main menu. Fifa 22 goes into a match and overheats in a minute.
Liquid Metal might have a hotspot, or a faulty fan

Before you try repair, can you lay it horizontal(if it is vertical) and game with ps4 titles for around an hour. Then you can try ps5 games again?
Externally try to dedust as much as you can as well.

He is charging Rs. 5k for a thermal paste replacement. I do think that is a bit much, but I will avail his services in case I don’t find a reasonably priced technician.

just watch a yt vedio on replacing liquid metal. you dont need any special tools. it not that complex unless you have not taken anything apart previously. carefully clean and replace the liquid meal with the new one and you are good to go. there are many good liquid metal are in stock on various platform.
