Replying to missed calls leading to SIM cloning. Hoax or technically possible?

Seems absurd as per present technology

I knew Facebook has turned into trolling ground where such cock-and-bull stories are shared and liked. What I don’t know is why the f publication like ToI is printing such stupid stories without verifying them?
And if conspiracy theorists are true, then how reducing habit of miss calls will be good for telecom authorities ? People can’t talk through miss calls. They only make such calls when they are either low on balance, or when needs to talk to another person.

I got missed calls from +92 (multiple times), once from+381, and a few times for +375. :annoyed:

If ever technology was so fast that within a single second and with just a single missed call the opposite person can gain our confidential info from our phones then imagine what our current internet speeds would have been!!!
