Well, wanted the RE4 experience, so I kinda played VIII on 3rd pov. Guess it was one way to cheese the game. I do think the experience might’ve been different on 1st pov.

I guess one main reason would be the enemy don’t come at you (at the screen) like in 1st pov, they go for the guy on the screen. Kinda like reducing the scare factor a bit. So that makes the gameplay… less scary, I guess.
I remember the first time I encountered Jack Baker in VII on 1st pov. It reminded me that it was NOT re4.
On a sidenote, playing ethan in 3rd pov in VIII, the shape of his head and hair style always reminds me of the guy from the youtube channel meghanandjack. It doesn’t add confidence to rooting for ethan at all.

yeah it runs pretty well on 5070ti unlike 5070 lol hopefully you’ll like it I heard it’s around 10-11 hours of gameplay

I’m too much of a scaredy-cat to play this myself, so I’m watching a YouTube channel playthrough and the game looks really good. Not just the graphics and mocap but the horror and gameplay is on point as well.
Finished it and honestly it is PEAK, now the wait for the dlc begins

game is pretty optimized I believe, my friend said he’s hitting anywhere between 60-120 fps on medium settings on his GTX 1650
same here. I installed the game but then watched initial 40 mins of streaming by a friend. We both got scared as hell. I have uninstalled the game. Jumpscares are not my cup of tea.
