Hey try “SnagIt”.It is a wonderful capture utility .U can even capture videos and add markings in the videos to make it look like a presentation.

i really not test it bcoz i don’t have two windows machines to test and there is no linux version :no_entry:

Start with Live Cd’s. You can install live CD to harddisk for eg one very easy good live Cd is:

other famous live CD is Knoppix:

After getting familliar with them u may try real distros like:

**Fedora Core 3: **
**CD 1.ISO.32-bit**
**CD 2.ISO.32-bit**
**CD 3.ISO.32-bit**
**CD 4.ISO.32-bit**

**CD 1.ISO.64-bit**
**CD 2.ISO.64-bit**
**CD 3.ISO.64-bit**
**CD 4.ISO.64-bit**

Watchout for Fedora Core 4 Test 1 is here:

Rave the pro version from 2.5.1 captures in jpg/png/bmp format too. Imo fraps is the best when it comes to capturing in game shots.

even the trail version?

If you want video capturing go for FRAPS.You may also try camtasia studio.

But for taking screnshots i recomend Grapcapturescreen[freeware]
Get it from

http://www.grabcapturescreen.com/

Also try Snag it.

Fraps is the best, captures in lossless bitmaps giving you the highest quality output always.
And you can always compress them down to any quality level in acdsee or similar software.

Hmm.. You can use IrfanView for that .. Just open IrfanView and press C .. Set the capture options .. You can capture by a hot key ..or on a timely basis and have those files saved automatically in a folder .. IrfanView is freeware and IMHO its better then others ..

Dunno abt the trail version, u might as well try it out.

trial version dosent help, even the original version has some stupid problem, it just dosent open, i get the small icon in the task bar and when ever i move my curson over it, it dissappears, the same copy works well on some other computer
and yes, the trial version works without a hitch, only that there is no option to capture in jpg format :frowning:
