wat are the minimum requirements in order to setup a counter strike game server and a unreal tournament 2004 server.

  1. You need to have a computer.
  2. You need to have electricity.
  3. You require Internet connection.
  4. You require players.

minimum requirments are…

2.0ghz processor or equivalent
512mb ram (1gb preferred)
Around 20 gb of space for the games
Original copies of the game
Decent gfx card ATI 9600 or above
A very good broadband connection

ahem ! ice i dont think u really require a good graphics cards unless some1 actually plans to play frm the server !

Its for our ISP, so its gonna be a dedicated server…

I will be stting up a ut2k4 and cs source dedicated server will 512 mb ram do ?

512Mb might be enough for UT cant say for CSS …U can try a trial run on 512Mb and add another 512 if it proves to be inadequate.

hey can ppl on other ISPs play on ur server? If yes then give IP, will check latencies, If no :frowning:

This will probably be available to the ISP members or on a internal LAN n/w. :face_with_tongue:

i think for ut2k4 i will tell my isp admin to allow ppl outside my network to play, :hap5:
I have the original game but i do not think ppl on the network have original.

but U can play with a illegit copy if you know the IP :face_with_tongue:

Used to do that when FS had a ut2k4 server(Bad pings though :frowning: )
Now I have a legit copy(Key only :face_with_tongue: ) thx to NSHV_Soulhunter :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

i dunno will have to try if ppl with illegit copy can play on the server.will try when the server is setup and ready.

No Aces u r wrong, if darky plans to host a 32 man Onslaught server then 512kbps is peanuts :face_with_tongue: , but darky host 8 man TDM server there arnd 12 excellent competitive TDM Maps for UT2k4 :slight_smile:
