Should i get nothing phone 3 for ₹35k right now?

Getting this phone at ₹35k. Someone i know bought it in September. It’s like new and not been used much. I was planning to buy Find X9 in republic day sale on NCEMI. I wanted a decent camera phone for low or artificial light video/photos. But got this offer and now i am confused.

Nothing phone 3 comes around 35-36k new during sales so maybe negotiate with him. It was very good phone at that price.
If they bought it in September then surely they bought it for 35k during BBD sales.
For photography it’s good enough though it lacks in videography.

Oppo find x9 will be anyday better than nothing phone 3 as it has got better camera sensors but I wouldn’t recommend you to buy phone on emi.

Get the phone which you can afford to buy in cash.

I can buy both in cash. But of course, it’s better to buy on NCEMI for the discounts and so I don’t have to pay all money upfront in my opinion. I never buy any gadget that I can’t afford to pay in full. I think if you can use it wisely, credit cards are a good thing.

I currently have a mid range 30k phone from 3 years ago and i have realised that for day to day tasks i need nothing more than a 30k phone. The only problem i have is camera. So i was going for something like a find x9 but now i don’t know if it’s worth the extra expense if the phone 3 can do the job.

I also asked the seller and they said they bought the phone for ₹35k. So I will try to negotiate with him. Let’s see.

get S24 for 40k from Amazon

8/128gb in 2026. Also already 2 years old at this point.

still 5 years updates left.

flagship @ half cost.. I am sold

for couple of thousands more you can get 256GB

I remember looking at it during the sale when they launched the snapdragon variant. I really liked it but i didn’t get it for a strong reason. I can’t remember exactly. I might have to check some reviews to see why I didn’t go for it.

The 256gb variant is 48k. Not a couple thousand. That’s a 20% price jump. It should be criminal to sell a 128gb phone for 40k in 2026.

I guess it would be camera. Samsung s24’s performance in low light is horrible when compared to other flagships.

Sorry for the price mistake.

It’s not just quantity, quality also matters. 128GB for 40k by Samsung flagship must have other premium components when compared to the rest. IMO, anyone who needs more storage should buy a external SSD rather than buying a phone with more storage, at least most of your data is safe even something happens to the phone. For 8k you can get a 1tb ssd & an USB C enclosure (I may be wrong on the pricing not researched recently).

IMO, S24 snapdragon performance is not par with S24 exynos, that is my wild understanding I don’t have any data to backup that. I didn’t buy it in fk sale just because of that reason.

The issue with low storage phones is that

  1. Apps are slowly increasing in size. Not just user apps, system apps too. AI craze again uses more space.
  2. WhatsApp will gradually occupy large amount of space
  3. Phone will slow down as it gradually fills the storage
  4. Photos. With increasing megapixels of phones, photo size is increasing too. Same for 4k/8k video recording

Therefore I no longer recommend 128gb if buying a new phone

@blackscorpio what @Satyanveshi said and also to add to his points,

The 128 model comes with UFS3.1 instead of 4.0 which causes some performance drops that are noticeable.

Low light performance of S24 is not that great which is one of my primary concerns. The secondary and tertiary camera is 12 & 8MP and uses very old hardware. It is aging poorly now. Not the case with something like S24ultra hence it can be recommended as a 2 year old flagship even today.

Battery on that phone is not great(4000mah). I wanted a good battery phone and SiCa batteries are now a thing. I know samsung has great optimization but physics is still physics. Phone that size now have 6500mah battery which beats samsung’s optimization by a good 3+ hours SoT.

The screen size is something i would compromise if the rest of the phone was flaship. The s24 isn’t flagship even in it’s own lineup. Camera is nerfed, battery is nerfed, storage speeds nerfed, screen resolution nerfed. Too many compromises.

If you are getting an used device then get a one plus 13 around 40k instead.

Who is selling a oneplus 13 for 40k?

Don’t know, tell me if you find someone.
