Acer VG240Y is a better panel not just in response time & refresh rate.
Can you notice the difference? I donât know, its relative to your point of reference. Say driving a XUV 700 after driving an Alto will feel like an upgrade in performance but XUV700 is inferior for someone driving a Ferrari. I can notice the difference in panel quality because I am used to high quality display panels.

Around the 10k budget with FHD resolution most if not all the LCD monitors are 6bit+FRC. Since youâve been using the Dell monitor with 6 Bit + FRC panel have you found any major color deviation/degradation?
If you want an 8-bit panel then youâll have to increase the budget and get a QHD screen with 120+ hz screen. Even the QHD 100Hz panels are 6 Bit+FRC. The lowest-priced ones are from Acer ofc (VG or the XV variants).
Also, the concern of longevity is valid until you realize that any region with high humidity and dust would degrade/kill electronic equipment relatively quickly. As for monitors the vents are there for passively cooling the PCB and the panels in scenarios where itâs used at or near full brightness for hours/days, for regular usage they hardly require any cooling. The panels are already sealed and PCBs have a conformal coating to protect against dust and humidity.
There are a few Acer ultra-slim models without any vents like the SA240Y. Youâd need to be a bit more careful while adjusting them.
Before you buy any model just call the brand to see if they have a nearby service center. As you read more about IPS/VA LCD panels, youâll come across many people complaining about Back-light bleed, dead/bright pixels, scan lines, and banding among others. If youâre against Amazon/Flipkart with open box then going with those offline dealers is also great, just check the unit and clarify any shortcomings then and there.

is Dell S2216H monitor has 6 Bit + FRC panel? really didnât aware and was in daydream that I paid 10k for this monitors in 2016 so got the best 
while reading users reviews at Amazon, found that most of reviews are based on Size & Panel, rarely any review about PARTICULAR MODEL.
Also under Acer EK240Y E (23.8) IPS monitor page, they added other 21.5" and VA Panel monitor review also.
Making it hard to decide base on those mix reviews
Display Quality: The colors, images, and videos are averageânot great, but not terrible either. The screen has a yellowish tint, which is causing some eye strain, and I havenât been able to fix it with the settings yet.

Yes you are right, but I mean to say, Amazon combined 2-3-4- products (same brand but different variants/model) and it may mislead to buyer that only one model have got so much likes (2000-3000 likes)

That is always there on amazon from the beginning. Also, another issue is that if model is very long running then there are differences even between hardware versions quality/performance over the years even if they all have same model name. No point in getting so confused over monitors unless you are truly a colour/video enthusiast in which case you would not even think about such budget tier monitors. Make a trip to some local pc shop that has monitors on display or just ask around which monitor brand has bad service in your area & avoid that brand.

When I ask MSI dealer about monitor he told MSI is very good and buy only MSI, when talk with LG dealer he keep praising LG, when contact Dell dealer he keep praising dell and when I went with all brand dealer he told by LG, Dell, Samsung all are good, as he do not have MSI so he avoid my query about MSI and in last went with another shop he told Rs.5k MSI OR 10k ACER both have same quality âŚ
Donât ask the brand exclusive dealers, instead ask those shops which sell multiple brands monitors & they should eb able to tell you which brand products they get most complaints from regarding after sales. Of course there is a possibility that they will try to advertise a specific brand as good on which they get most commission so focus on which 2-3 brands they say have bad after sales support & if that leaves only one brand which they also sell that means they are not telling the truth. My own guess is that MSI should have the worst after sales support based on their motherboards & laptops buyers feedback on reddit & chances of lenovo having bad after sales support should eb low while dell should be the safest option when it comes to after sales support. As for acer & other brands my guess is it depends on your city.

Is using tv (full hd 24) oneâs recommended? What would I lose out if I use a tv instead of say a monitor? No gaming, mostly into office work, bit of photo editing and watching movies??
You will lose a lot in terms of text clarity & overall monitor functions. A TV is good to use as a monitor if most of the usage is going to be limited to youtube/streaming sites/watching movies & some occasional browsing. Not to mention, any 24" TV available nowadays would be much worse than any 24" monitor from any major brand in terms of screen quality.

Dell donât have any 22"/24" IPS choice in 8k and same story with Lenovo too.
Was used dell last 2 times 1st was Dell ST2220L (TN Panel) last 5 yrs and 2nd Dell S2216H (IPS Panel) cost 9k and last 8 yrs. but both bought before June 2020 and in my view maximum electronics goods degrade quality (QnC checking) after June 2020 (due to Corona, Supply Chain & Geo-Political Issue)
Went with IT products distributor (they didnât deal in Monitor or PC/System) but all other accessories, they have 3-4 AOC Monitor in their Office and going good, but all that Model are 2 yrs. OLD with 75Hz-5ms Response Time.
Iâm not in gaming but think that having at least 100/140/180 Hz screen might give good reading/viewing experience and may be newer model have some improve Quality Control as since last 2-3 yrs, green line etc. issue strike on various displays (mobile/TV/Monitor/Laptop etc.) very frequently.
About after sales, if quality of product itself is good than there is no worry about ASS, but as said above after June 2020 all brands have quality issue.
